Breeding Plan for 2027 Kids

First: God is in control of all pairings, and this plan is subject to His will and, therefore, may change over time. Kids will be born in early February to mid-March, 2027.

To learn how to be added to our Interest List, please click HERE.

All kids will be eligible for registry with MDGA and TMGR. All kids are priced after birth, but our breeding stock ranges from $450-$650. Wethers will be $150, unless sold as a companion to a breeding buck or in pairs, in which case $75 each. In mid-to-late spring, we will also be selling some of our adult does in milk.

The entire herd is tested yearly for diseases. We tested clean in 2026 for Johnes and CAE. CL testing is available at buyers’ expense for goats over 6 months by request. Regular results are available on request.

We reserve the right to retain any kids born on our farm. Your indicated interest in any pairing does not guarantee any purchase of kids born. We use our Interest List to pair buyers and animals; we do not promise to go in strict order, but given two potentially good fits, the one who contacted us earlier gets first picks.

We have MANY repeat breedings this year. On each animal’s personal page (linked in blue text) you will find pictures of their kids as babies, as well as links to pictures of older kids who were retained.

We choose breeding pairs not according to generation numbers but with an eye toward improving our animals’ conformations and udder production. If you are hesitant to buy lower generation minis, please read THIS ARTICLE on how to prefer quality animals over generation labels.

For all the animals listed below BLUE TEXT means that it’s a LINK to more information! We show udders and past kids on each animal’s personal page.

Senior Does

JC’s Snowdrop 3*P and Cedar Creek’s Outlaw Blues +*B

JC’s Snowdrop 3*P is one of our best milkers, consistently giving a gallon a day for months on end. She is a sweet girl, with lovely moonspots. She had given us all boys except for her wonderful daughter, Tiger Lily and in 2024, Poppy! Then, when bred to Outlaw for the last two years, she’s given us Larkspur (below) and, in 2026, Crocus. Outlaw is seven years old with lots of daughters on the ground elsewhere and four here retained from this year’s kidding season. His daughters elsewhere have beautiful udders, and sons who have done well in the show ring. Added to his milk pedigree are his amazing conformation and blue eyes, and he’s polled! This is a repeat breeding that gave us one retained buckling (Sequoia) and one retained doeling (Larkspur) in 2025.They will yield F5 kids. Boys will be *B, and blue eyes, moonspots, and polled kids are possible. Also chocolate and/or black kids. UPDATE: They connected on 10/8; unconfirmed due date is 3/7. Update: Snowdrop gave us two GORGEOUS kids: B/D on 3/7, her due date. We’re keeping the doeling (Storybook’s Crocus) but the boy (Storybook’s Mulberry *B) will be available.

JC’s Biscotti 2*P and Storybook’s Sequoia *B

Biscotti came to us from outstanding milk lines that combine JC and Storybook animals. (Read more on this here.) I love Biscotti’s smaller size and personality. She earned her milk star in 2024 as a two-year-old first freshener, and again in 2025. She continues to amaze us with her milk output in 2026. Sequoia, an Outlaw son, is a coming two-year-old. He is out of JC’s Snowdrop 3*P, who regularly (at age 8) gives a gallon + per day. Added to his milk pedigree are his amazing conformation and moonspots, and he’s polled! This pairing will yield F6 kids. Moonspotted and polled kids are possible, and kids will have brown eyes. Any boys will be *B. Kids from this pairing should stay on the small side. UPDATE: They connected on September 3; projected (and unconfirmed) due date is 1/31/27.

Mosaic’s Tiny Dancer and Cedar Creek’s Outlaw Blues +*B

This is a repeat breeding. Dancer is from excellent milking lines, combining Blackberry and Green Gables royalty, and has a long, level topline. She is also super sweet in temperament. She is mid-sized. She fell just a few pounds short of her milk star in 2025, but produced triplets by Outlaw in 2026, who are just gorgeous. At present, Dancer is on track to earn her milk star. Outlaw is seven years old with lots of daughters on the ground elsewhere and four here retained from the 2025 kidding season, who are first fresheners in 2027. His daughters elsewhere have beautiful udders, and sons who have done well in the show ring. Added to his milk pedigree are his amazing conformation and blue eyes, and he’s polled! Kids will be F5. Blue eyes and polled kids are possible. If Dancer earns her milk star, boys will be *B.

Storybook’s Brillig 2*P and Storybook’s Terebinth *B

Brillig (Champagne’s full sister) is another retained daughter of of Udderly Precious Mimz the Word *P, who has one of our barn’s best udders, with a tremendous will to milk. Brillig was VERY productive as a FF in 2025 and earned her milk star in both milk pounds and butterfat. We retained her daughter, Alice (by Outlaw), who will freshen this year. She is gorgeous! Terebinth (an Outlaw son) is a coming two-year-old and a hunk of burning love! He has loooong ears and blue eyes, is both deep and wide. He has a near-perfect front end assembly, as well as lovely rear-leg articulation. Oh, and he’s polled! His dam, JC’s Bluebelle 3*P, had the most extended fore udder in our barn, and was a heavy milker. Terebinth was Bluebelle’s last kid, and a singleton. We lost her in 2025. This pairing will yield F6 kids. Blue eyes, moonspotted, and polled kids are possible. Boys will be *B.

Storybook’s Beauty for Ashes *P and Storybook’s Terebinth *B

Beauty (another Asher daughter conceived just before we lost him in 2022) is out of Storybook’s Ambrosia, another daughter of of Udderly Precious Mimz the Word *P, who has one of our barn’s best udders and a strong will to milk. Beauty earned her milk star as a first freshener; her butterfat was especially high. She has wonderful moonspots and blue eyes.

Storybook’s Twix and Green Gables GJ Wolf Moon*B

This picture of Twix does not do her justice. She is a gorgeous doe, polled, with a level topline and width and depth throughout. Her FF udder is high, tight, and has a very strong medial. She has milked well as a FF, having given two gorgeous boys. She may earn her milk star this year. She is out of Wonderful Farm SG Royal Candy *P by our beloved Green Gables E Asher *B, conceived just before he perished. Candy’s udder is very productive: she gives lots of milk for a long time, and we have two of her daughters (Twix and Bit O Honey, who led our barn in milk production in 2026 as a first freshener). Twix is littermate sister to Candyman, so we’re pleased to be using him again this year. Twix is moonspotted–very subtly. Wolf Moon is new to us from Green Gables. He has a strong milk heritage, especially from his dam, Green Gables FF Cali Eclipse 5*P, who was on the Top Ten list 4 times. His sire, Green Gables G I Joe, brings us full circle, as we birthed his grandmother (Skillman’s Andromeda *P) here at Storybook Farm. Kids will be F3. Polled kids are possible, as well as moonspotting. Kids will have brown eyes.

Storybook’s Peppercorn to Green Gables AC Amazing Asteroid *B

Peppercorn was bred here, and then sold as a FF, with her doeling, to a friend in need. In her second freshening there, she had triplets. Three years later, she has returned with a different doeling, Anaheim (who will be a FF this year, see below) to our great joy. Peppercorn has a gorgeous udder; she’s another Green Gables E Asher *B daughter, so I’m thrilled. Pepper wasn’t milk tested at the farm she visited, but I’m confident that she’ll earn her milk star in 2026. Sequoia, an Outlaw son, is a coming two-year-old. He is out of JC’s Snowdrop 3*P, who regularly (at age 8) gives a gallon + per day. Added to his milk pedigree are his amazing conformation and moonspots, and he’s polled! This pairing will yield F4 kids. Moonspotted and polled kids are possible, and kids will have brown eyes. Any boys will most probably be *B. Kids from this pairing should stay on the small side.

Storybook’s Pansy and Green Gables AC Amazing Asteroid *B

Pansy is a three-year-old who was bred to Outlaw last year and did not settle. She is a gorgeous doe out of JC’s Bluebelle 3*P and Green Gables E Asher *B. She gave us two gorgeous boys in 2026. We are going to try her again with Outlaw. If she doesn’t settle, then with Sequoia. Kids will be F6. Moonspots are possible, and blue eyes. Kids may be polled.

Foggy Fork Farm’s Candace and Cedar Creek’s Outlaw Blues +*B

This is a repeat breeding. Candace is an exciting three-year-old who will freshen for the second time this year. Her sire is Foggy Fork Farm EXD Smooth Salin’, whose dam, Foggy Fork Farm WYN Truffle peaks regularly at 8#, and his granddam, Masquerade Goddess AR5*D/2*P, peaks at 10-11#. Candace’s dam, Foggy Fork Farm NA Lamborghini 2*D/2*P, was was #8 on the 2023 national MDGA Top Ten 1-Day milk test for butterfat. Candace birthed two very robust boys in 2026, but unfortunately for her, she birthed alone and had no idea what to do with the squirmy things. We bottle raised her kids, and her udder was developed, but was not given a fair test. This pairing will yield F3 kids. Blue eyes, black Sundgau coats, and polled kids are possible.

Storybook’s Bit O’ Honey and Storybook’s Sequoia *B

Storybook’s Bit O’ Honey’s had a fantastic first freshening in 2026. She led the entire barn during milk tests for many months, easily earning her milk star. She has long ears, is very feminine and somewhat petite, and has an excellent milk heritage. Her dam is Wonderful Farm SG Royal Candy *P and her sire is our own Storybook’s Buckeye *B. Her udder is beautiful: high, tight, and productive. Her mom was a very heavy milker, and her grandsire is one of Green Gables’ best.

Storybook’s Creme de Cocoa and Storybook’s Candyman *B

This is another repeat breeding from 2026. Three-year-old Cocoa will freshen for the second time this year. She is a gorgeous chocolate and white girl born to JC’s Bluebelle 3*P and Green Gables AC Amazing Asteroid *B. Cocoa was the only girl of triplets and was bottle supplemented, so she’s super friendly. She has a lovely looong body, and even looonger ears! Her dam and her sire gave her lots of great milk genes, and her dam’s udder has the most extended fore udder in our barn. Sire Mazy also has outstanding milk creds. We are very excited to freshen Mazy daughters this year. His littermate sister’s udder is lovely! Candyman was bred here out of two outstanding parents: Wonderful Farm SG Royal Candy *P by our beloved Green Gables E Asher *B, conceived just before he perished. If skin rolls are any indicator, he’s heavy in the milk gene department. His littermate sister, Storybook’s Twix, freshened in 2025 with a very correct, productive udder and is on track for her milk star. Candyman is polled, and should add length to kids’ ears. Kids will be F3. Polled and chocolate kids are possible; eyes will be brown. UPDATE: They connected on 3/3; unconfirmed due date is 1/31/27.

Storybook’s Riesling and Storybook’s Terebinth *B

This is Riesling’s first freshening. She has long ears, is very feminine, and has an excellent milk heritage. Her dam is Storybook’s Doux Champagne 2*P, and her sire is Green Gables AC Amazing Asteroid *B. She first freshened in 2026, and her udder was not impressive, but her lineage is so good that we’re seeing what a second freshening will do. Many times, it’s astounding how good the improvement is! Kids will be F6, possibly blue eyed, and possibly polled, and probably with looong ears.

Storybook’s Cha Cha Cha and Storybook’s Terebinth *B

Cha Cha Cha freshened for the first time in 2026. Her udder was another borderline one; not enough production to earn a star as a first freshener, but good enough genes behind her to see what another year will do. She is a simple brown girl with looong ears and very correct breed character, and very gentle. Cha Cha’s dam is Mosaic’s Tiny Dancer, who has a fine 2F udder and is on track for her milk star this year. Cha Cha’s sire is Mosaic’s Mahogany Obsidian *B, who is a heady combination of Green Gables and Blackberry milk lines. Kids will be F6. They may be blue eyed and may be polled, with possible chocolate colored coats.

Storybook’s Creamy E’Clair and Cedar Creek’s Outlaw Blues +*B

This is Claire’s second freshening. She has long ears and body, is very feminine, and has an excellent milk heritage. Her dam is JC’s Biscotti 2*P, who — though small — is a powerhouse milker. She’s another one who may truly blossom as a second freshener. Her sire is Green Gables AC Amazing Asteroid *B. This pairing will yield F7 kids. Blue eyes, black Sundgau coats, and polled kids are possible. UPDATE: They connected on 9/2; unconfirmed due date is 1/30/27.

First Fresheners in 2027

Storybook’s Camille and Storybook’s Sequoia *B

Camille is a strong, well built girl. I am watching her with great interest. Her dam is Storybook’s Annette and her sire is our own Storybook’s Candyman *B.

Storybook’s Moonpie and Green Gables GJ Wolf Moon *B

Moonpie is an exciting first freshener because we’re finally getting to see what Outlaw has done for our herd! Moonpie is polled and blue eyed, like her sire. Her dam, JC’s Biscotti 2*P, has been an outstanding milker, especially for her size. Polled kids and blue eyes are possible, as are black Sundgau coats.

Storybook’s Starburst and Green Gables GJ Wolf Moon *B

Starburst (Moonpie’s littermate sister) is also sired by Outlaw. Starburst, however, is brown eyed and not polled. Her dam, JC’s Biscotti 2*P, has been an outstanding milker, especially for her size. Kids will be F4. Brown eyes are certain, as are black Sundgau coats.

Storybook’s Larkspur and Green Gables GJ Wolf Moon *B

Larkspur is another exciting first freshener because, again, we’re finally getting to see what Outlaw has done for our herd AND Larkspur is also the daughter of one of our highest producers, JC’s Snowdrop 3*P. Larkspur is horned and brown eyed. I am truly on the edge of my seat to see this girl’s udder. Kids will be F4. Polled kids and blue eyes are possible, as are black Sundgau coats.

Storybook’s Alice in Wonderland and Green Gables GJ Wolf Moon *B

Alice is our third Outlaw daughter to freshen this year. Alice is wildly moonspotted, like her dam, Storybook’s Brillig 2*P. Brillig has been a very productive milker, like her dam, Mimzie, so we are expecting lots of milk! Kids will be F4. Moonspotted kids with brown eyes are possible, as are black Sundgau coats.
