We were so thrilled when God gave us this girl! She is out of one of our favorite does, Wonderful Farm SG Royal Candy *P. She was sired by our own Storybook’s Buckeye *B. She has lots of milky genes in her makeup, and we love her big eyes, looong ears, and excellent topline. Like her dam, she has a great brisket and wide, flat rump.
We may breed her in November of this year, as this line is generally growthy, or she may need to wait for 2025 breeding season. Stay tuned!

Bit O’ Honey’s Dam Line
Wonderful Farm SG Royal Candy *P is a lovely F1 polled doe. She came to us by way of Green Gables, who had her for about four years and retained three of her doelings and one buck.
Candy’s great strengths are her milk volume (high!), her long and level topline (with a very flat and wide rump) and her extended foreudder.
We have retained two of her daughters: Storybook’s Twix and Storybook’s Bit O’ Honey. (You can see more about Candy by clicking on her name, above.)

Bit O’ Honey’s Sire Line
Bit O’ Honey’s sire is our own Storybook’s Buckeye *B. His dam is one of the best does in our barn: JC’s Bluebelle 3*P (see her udder picture below and her pedigree by clicking on her name).

JC’s Bluebelle’s udder. She is Buckeye’s dam. She, too, has a lovely extended foreudder. This is one of the traits that we were looking to lock in genetically in pairing Buckeye and Candy.

She was Green Gables SOF Snow Camo 3*P, an amazing doe with a practically perfect, productive udder. Cami sired our favorite buck, Green Gables E Asher *B, who passed away in the fall of 2022 of meningeal worm.
