This is another Blackberry bloodlined boy, born March 15, 2022. We are excited that his pedigree is packed with milk. “Sid” shares Blue Moon’s genes: his maternal grand dam and grand sire are the same champions as Blue Moon’s paternal grand dam and grand sire. But, there are enough differences in their bloodlines to make for some exciting line breeding possibilities!

Dam: Green Gables FF Cali Eclipse 5*P. In 2020, placed twice on the MDGA Top Ten 305-Day List: #3 for Milk Weight and #5 for Butter Fat Weight. In 2021, Eclipse peaked on test at 14#, and was Top Ten again: #7 in Butter Fat Weight.
Sire: Green Gables MB Amazing Comet *B was small in stature, and Mazie looks to be following his hoofprints.
Storybook’s Candyman *B (F2)
Candyman is a gift to us from his late father, Green Gables E Asher *B. We lost Asher in the fall of 2022, but he bred four does before his demise, and this special boy was one!
He has so much to like! He is deep and wide, with looong ears, great breed character, a great brisket, and loving personality. And he’s polled! We have great hopes for what this boy will bring to our herd.

Storybook’s Buckeye *B (F5)
Three years ago, we bred his full brother, Storybook’s Bramble *B, who was everything we were looking for in a buck. We sold him as a kid and had plans to buy him back, when he suddenly died of silent pneumonia. Meanwhile, his full brother was in the works: Buckeye is a treasure to us, and we expect great things from him!
Dam: JC’s Bluebelle 3*P. She has a picture perfect, productive udder.

We had the pick of 2019 bucklings born at Green Gables Mini Nubians farm. He has amazing genetics and gorgeous breed character. He’s was a heavily moonspotted buckskin, just like his stunning dam.

Asher sounds like the Hebrew for “happy.” He was a happy goat all of his life spent here. Sadly, in October of 2022 he contracted meningeal worm and had to be put down on November 21, after a valiant fight. We miss him sorely!
Joyous Farm’s Le Tigre (F1)
Coming to us by way of Skillman’s Ranch is a proven buck who was new to us in 2020 and gave us three beautiful kids in 2021. One of them was herdsire, Prince Valiant (above). In 2022, we retained his daughter, Annette. We used both these boys this fall for kids in 2022, and sadly, we said goodbye to Tiger in 2022.

Bellhouse’s Rigel *B (F7)
This blue-eyed boy is named for the brightest blue star in the sky. This isn’t the only star in his pedigree, however! His dams (on both sides) were star producers. His paternal granddam produces over 8 lbs./day, and his dam peaked at over 8 lbs as a FF!
