Breeding Plan for 2026

First: God is in control of all pairings, and this plan is subject to His will and, therefore, may change over time. Kids will be born in early February to mid-March, 2026.

To learn how to be added to our Interest List, please click HERE.

All kids will be eligible for registry with MDGA and TMGR. All kids are priced after birth, but our breeding stock ranges from $500-$650. Wethers will be $150, unless sold as a companion to a breeding buck, in which case $75. In mid-to-late spring, we will also be selling some of our adult does in milk.

The entire herd is tested yearly for diseases. We tested clean in 2025 for Johnes, Brucellosis, and CAE. CL testing is available at buyers’ expense for goats over 6 months by request. Results are available on request.

We reserve the right to retain any kids born on our farm. Your indicated interest in any pairing does not guarantee any purchase of kids born. We use our Interest List to pair buyers and animals; we do not promise to go in strict order, but given two potentially good fits, the one who contacted us earlier gets first picks.

We have MANY repeat breedings this year. On each animal’s personal page (linked in blue text) you will find pictures of their kids as babies, as well as links to pictures of older kids who were retained.

We choose breeding pairs not according to generation numbers but with an eye toward improving our animals’ conformations and udder production. If you are hesitant to buy lower generation minis, please read THIS ARTICLE on how to prefer quality animals over generation labels.

For all the animals listed below BLUE TEXT means that it’s a LINK to more information! We show udders and past kids on each animal’s personal page.

Exciting news: Cedar Creek’s Outlaw Blues has just received his +! He is now a +*B buck.

Senior Does

Storybook’s Doux Champagne 2*P and Cedar Creek’s Outlaw Blues +*B

Sweet Champagne, how I love her! She’s out of Udderly Precious Mimz the Word *P (an MDGA top 10 doe in both milk pounds and butter fat pounds) by Green Gables E Asher *B, whom we lost in 2022 to meningeal worm. I was super excited about this doe’s first freshening, and her udder was fabulous: high, tight, and productive! She led the barn in milk production among our first fresheners in 2023 (when we didn’t test), and has earned her milk star in 2024 and again in 2025. Both of her 2023 kids were moonspotted (see her page), though we cannot find out where she’s hiding hers! Outlaw is six years old with lots of daughters on the ground elsewhere and four here retained from this year’s kidding season. His daughters elsewhere have beautiful udders, and sons who have done well in the show ring. Added to his milk pedigree are his amazing conformation and blue eyes, and he’s polled! This is a repeat breeding; in 2025, Champagne had one beautiful blue-eyed boy, called Storybook’s Brut. This pairing will yield F7 kids. Boys will be *B, and moonspots, blue eyes, and polled kids are possible. UPDATE: They connected on 9/13; unconfirmed due date is 2/10. UPDATE: She kidded on her due date with triplets: 2 B/1 D.

JC’s Snowdrop 3*P and Cedar Creek’s Outlaw Blues +*B

JC’s Snowdrop 3*P is one of our best milkers, consistently giving a gallon a day for months on end. She is a sweet girl, with lovely moonspots. She had given us all boys except for her wonderful daughter, Tiger Lily (below) and in 2024, Poppy, who will freshen this year! This is a repeat breeding that gave us one retained buckling (Sequoia) and one retained doeling (Larkspur) in 2025. They will yield F5 kids. Boys will be *B, and blue eyes, moonspots, and polled kids are possible. Also chocolate and/or black kids. UPDATE: They connected on 10/8; unconfirmed due date is 3/7.

Storybook’s Annette and Green Gables AC Amazing Asteroid *B

This is Storybook’s Annette. She is a full sister to Storybook’s Prince Valiant, and the daughter of Ginger Top Farm’s Giselle *P, a national Top Ten milker in three categories. Annette had a gorgeous FF udder in 2023: high and tight with great teat placement. Her topline and feminine lines are beautiful! Mazy gave us gorgeous kids in 2024, with outstanding ears and breed character. And his milk heritage is, well, amazing! In 2020, Mazy’s dam Eclipse placed twice on the Top 10 305-Day List: #3 for milk volume and #5 for total butterfat. She earned her milk star in both volume and butterfat. In 2021, Eclipse peaked on test at 14#. Add to these, Mazy has a long, level topline and great breed character with a super nose and long ears. Kids will be F3 and have brown eyes. UPDATE: They connected on 9/13; unconfirmed due date is 2/10. UPDATE: She delivered in the early AM of 2/8 three gorgeous kids: 2 girls and a boy.

Storybook’s Tiger Lily and Cedar Creek’s Outlaw Blues +*B

Tiger Lily is one of three daughters of her dam, JC’s Snowdrop 3*P. Snowdrop is highly productive for milk, giving over a gallon a day for three months on test in 2024. Tiger Lily’s sire is Green Gables E Asher *B. So, her milk genes are strong. She is a sweet girl, with lovely moonspots. In 2024, she gave us a gorgeous doeling (Landini) who will freshen this year. Outlaw is six years old with lots of daughters on the ground elsewhere and four here retained from this year’s kidding season. Also chocolate and/or black kids. UPDATE: They connected on 9/19; unconfirmed due date is 2/16. Update: Tiger Lily kidded two beautiful girls on her due date, named Calla Lily and Trista Lily. One (at least) will be retained.

JC’s Biscotti 2*P and Cedar Creek’s Outlaw Blues +*B

Biscotti came to us from outstanding milk lines that combine JC and Storybook animals. (Read more on this here.) I love Biscotti’s smaller size and personality. She earned her milk star in 2024 as a two-year-old first freshener, and again in 2025. She continues to amaze us with her milk output in 2025. This is a repeat breeding that gave us two gorgeous daughters in 2025, both retained (Moonpie and Starburst). This pairing will yield F6 kids. Blue eyes and polled kids are possible; boys will be *B. Kids from this pairing should stay small. UPDATE: They connected on 9/12; unconfirmed due date is 2/9. UPDATE: She delivered boy/girl twins on 2/8. The girl will be retained.

Storybook’s Sweet Lilac and Storybook’s Rocket Man

Lilac is a lovely, polled daughter of JC’s Bluebelle 3*P and Goat Trails Finley’s Gem Texas Pete. She freshened first as a three year old in 2023 with a lovely udder, and gave us three beautiful kids. In 2024, we couldn’t catch her in heat. We are excited for her to freshen in 2026 and expect her to earn her milk star. Rocket Man is the son of Mosaic’s Mahogany Obsidian *B and Mosaic’s Tiny Dancer, so he is line bred on famous Blackberry lines. He is very deep and wide, and not tall. Kids will be F6. Polled and roaned kids are possible. They will have brown eyes. UPDATE: They connected on 9/12; unconfirmed due date is 2/9. Update: in the wee hours of 2/12, she delivered quads: 3 B/1 D.

Mosaic’s Tiny Dancer and Cedar Creek’s Outlaw Blues +*B

Dancer is from excellent milking lines, combining Blackberry and Green Gables royalty, and has a long, level topline. She is also super sweet in temperament. She is mid-sized. She fell just a few pounds short of her milk star this year. Kids will be F7. Boys will be *B. UPDATE: They connected on 9/12; unconfirmed due date is 2/9. Update: she delivered two gorgeous kids on 2/12, D/B. We’ll be retaining her doeling.

Beauty (another Asher daughter conceived just before we lost him in 2022) is out of Storybook’s Ambrosia, another daughter of of Udderly Precious Mimz the Word *P, who has one of our barn’s best udders and a strong will to milk. Beauty earned her milk star as a first freshener; her butterfat was especially high. She has wonderful moonspots and blue eyes. Storybook’s Twix and Green Gables AC Amazing Asteroid *B

This picture of Twix does not do her justice. She is a gorgeous doe, polled, with a level topline and width and depth throughout. Her FF udder is high, tight, and has a very strong medial. She has milked well as a FF, having given two gorgeous boys. She may earn her milk star this year. She is out of Wonderful Farm SG Royal Candy *P by our beloved Green Gables E Asher *B, conceived just before he perished. Candy’s udder is very productive: she gives lots of milk for a long time, and we have two of her daughters (Twix and Bit O Honey, who will freshen this year for the first time). Twix is littermate sister to Candyman, so we’re pleased to be using him again this year. Twix is moonspotted–very subtly. This is a repeat breeding. Kids will be F3. Storybook’s Peppercorn to Green Gables AC Amazing Asteroid *B

Peppercorn was bred here, and then sold as a FF, with her doeling, to a friend in need. In her second freshening there, she had triplets. Three years later, she has returned with a different doeling, Anaheim (who will be a FF this year, see below) to our great joy. Peppercorn has a gorgeous udder; she’s another Green Gables E Asher *B daughter, so I’m thrilled. Pepper wasn’t milk tested at the farm she visited, but I’m confident that she’ll earn her milk star in 2026. Mazy gave us gorgeous kids in 2024 and 2025, with outstanding ears and breed character. Kids will be F4. Brown eyes are certain. UPDATE: They connected on 9/22; unconfirmed due date is 2/19. Update: Pepper gave us sweet girl twins a day early, on 2/18.

Ginger Top Farm Giselle *P and ???

Two years ago, we tried to retire Ginger Top Farm Giselle *P. Giselle is a very heavy milker, but we decided to retired her due to birthing complications for two previous years running. We knew she was in heat, but we penned her up and left for errands for the day. While we were gone, she jumped the fence to get in with two boys. Imagine our joy when she had a perfect birth that gave us two beautiful girls who are both bred in the lineup this year: Storybook’s Desiree and Storybook’s Lorraine. This year, it all happened again. She jumped three fences while we were gone after being penned up, and was in with FIVE boys when we got home. SO, more DNA testing will need to happen. Luckily, she’s an outstanding doe, and any of those boys would give excellent kids! In 2021 MDGA’s Top Ten national milk testing program, Giselle placed in ALL THREE categories: #8 for milk weight, #9 for butter fat weight, and #10 for butterfat percent! Giselle is F1, and high in Nubian blood (84%). Kids will be F2. Brown or blue eyes are possible. Moonspots are possible. They connected on 10/10; unconfirmed due date is 3/9.
