Sassy is a beautiful chocolate doe. In 2023, her dam Tiger Lily had the tightest attachments and best escutcheon height in our barn, and was second in production behind Champagne.
I am super eager to see this girl’s udder. The plan is to breed her for the first time in the fall of 2024 for 2025 kids.

Storybook’s Tiger Lily is an impressive girl. She has wonderful breed character and is moonspotted. If you go to her page, you can read about how she wants to have her kids in private, just like her dam, Snowdrop 3*P. Udder pictures are on her page as well. Her sire is Green Gables E Asher *B, and her udder shows improvement over her dam’s udder.
We are excited to put Tiger Lily on milk test in 2024. We confidently expect that she will gain her milk star.

JC’s Snowdrop 3*P. We bought her dam (Buttercup) pregnant, but Snowdrop was the second kid born on Storybook Farm.
She has filled out and gotten darker as an adult. She had only given us one daughter (Tiger Lily) by Asher, but that one daughter has been well worth the wait. Now, in 2024, we have a second daughter: Storybook’s Poppy.

Green Gables Snow Camo 3*P is a beautiful doe with a gorgeous udder. We had the pick of Green Gables’ bucklings in 2019, and we chose her son, Asher. We were never sorry! Asher improved udders in his daughters, especially helping them be more snugly attached and higher in the escutcheon.

Storybook’s Nonpareil is the son of Bellhouse’s Rigel *B and Storybook’s Briar Rose. Rosie was not on test in 2023, and unfortunately miscarried in 2024. However, Nonnie is purebred.
Nonny replaced his dad here at our farm, siring five litters in 2022. We retained two of his 2023 daughters: Sassafras and Bubbles.
Sassy’s Paternal Granddam
Storybook’s Briar Rose was bred to Mahogany Obsidian in 2022, and we liked Storybook’s Primrose so much that we repeated the breeding for 2024, but unfortunately, she miscarried 5 weeks early. Rosie had triplets: two boys and a girl by Sid in 2023. She probably would have gained her milk star, but we did not test in 2023.

Sassy’s Dam’s Dam (Maternal Great Granddam)
JC’s Bluebelle 3*P has a drop-dead gorgeous udder (see pictures here). She has been an outstanding mother and milker, and we especially love her fore udder extension. We have retained four of her daughters: Storybook’s Briar Rose, Storybook’s Sweet Lilac and Storybook’s Mayflower (both FF in 2024), and Storybook’s Pansy (to be freshened in 2025).
Bluebelle has amazing breed character, loooong ears, and lovely conformation along with her gorgeous, productive udder. We have two of her daughters by Asher (Rosie and Pansy), and two by Pete, Lilac and Mayflower. Lilac is polled.
