Dam Line
Marguerite’s dam, Storybook’s Cherie, was born on our farm to Gingertop Farm’s Giselle *P. Giselle has been an MDGA Top Ten milker, so Marguerite’s milk genes are strong, though she has only ever had singletons. (Click on their names to see more details and pictures.)
Cherie is moonspotted and polled, and a great mother. We suspect that she held back milk for her babies, which is why she did not get her star the one year we had her on milk test (as a first freshener).
Sire Line
Marguerite’s sire was Bellhouse’s Rigel *B. He came from very milky lines, and you can see the udders behind him by clicking here. He gave Marguerite her blue eyes.

2023 Kid
Marguerite was paired with Green Gables AC Amazing Asteroid for her first freshening. As with some first time mothers, Marguerite was not into it! She did not respond to her baby at all, but luckily for little Anastasia (orphan Annie as we called her), Aunti Celeste was having kids the same day and adopted her. We’ve been hoping she does better the second time around, as have many before her!
2024 Kid
Again Marguerite kidded with a single doeling, who is blue eyed and (we think — 4 days in) polled. The sire was again Green Gables AC Amazing Asteroid *B. Baby Louise is F3, cute and cuddly, and has lovely breed character and fun colors.
