This sweet little yearling is the daughter of our very own Storybook’s Peppercorn.
She was bred and born at Refuge Springs Farm, but tagged along with her dam when she returned home. She is almost her exact duplicate, except for ears. She has more control than does her dam.

Storybook’s Peppercorn

Peppercorn is the only girl of triplets born to yearling, first-freshener JC’s Allspice (Spicy).
Her FF udder (with only a singleton) was nice: productive and well formed. (See a picture on her page.) Her second freshening (with Anaheim one of triplets) improved its capacity.

This is Peppercorn’s 2F udder. Refuge Springs did not do milk testing, but I am eager to put her on test in 2026.
Anaheim’s Sire Line

Anaheim was sired by One Thousand Hills Elias.

Elias’ dam’s udder.

Anaheim’s Udder

We are pleasantly surprised by this little girl’s FF udder. Here is is just before she kidded twin bucklings.
Anaheim’s escutcheon is very wide and her udder is nice and tight and high. Her teats are well placed, and her medial is strong.
We’ll update pictures as we get her first separation in early March.
Anaheim’s Kids
2026
Bred to our own Storybook’s Buckeye *B, Anaheim is a first freshener this year. She’s proving to be a great mom to her twin bucklings, and seems to have plenty of milk. The boys are adorable!
